Just as so many other stories of how God’s big plans unfold, the story of Renewed began as one woman’s response of obedience to the Holy Spirit’s prompting and others then catching the vision.
In 2015 began a women’s event hosted by New Life Fellowship with an annual simulcast. Along the way, the event was given the name Renewed . Average attendance each year was around 70 women. From the beginning, Renewed was (and remains) ministry-minded beyond the conference, each year supporting other ministries with funds from the event. In March of 2020, in the midst of the Covid epidemic, it was decided to offer the conference digitally. There were 3000 views of the conference that year. In 2021, the women gathered at New Life Fellowship, this time with live speakers, and this time with over 100 women in attendance. At that event, there was an excitement in the air as women recognized how important it was to come together in one place. Multiple times it was said by various women at the event, “I needed this so much.” That year, the lead coordinator of the event sensed that God had bigger plans for Renewed in the future. The following year, attendance was over 200 and by 2023, the leadership team expanded to include women from churches across the community. In 2023, 400 women registered for the event, but due to a snow storm that weekend, only 200 women were actually in attendance. With over 400 registrations, the need to look at a different venue was necessary for 2024, so the event moved to the Civic Arena and Civic Theater. In 2024, there were 500 women in attendance and in 2025 and 2026, there were 600.
The Renewed leadership team continues to seek the Lord in how to better meet the spiritual needs of women in the northeastern region of South Dakota and beyond. In 2026, the Renewed event became Renewed Ministries as it became an independent non-profit organization. While the annual spring event is anticipated to continue, the leadership team is seeking other potential ways to minister to women.
Renewed Ministry is a Christian women's ministry focused on creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, encouraged, and connected. Through conferences, retreats, gatherings, and special events, we bring women together to experience community, faith, encouragement, and meaningful connection. Our mission is centered around creating intentional experiences for women to step away from everyday distractions and make space for what matters. Renewed Ministry events provide opportunities to hear from inspiring speakers, worship, connect with other women, participate in meaningful activities, and grow in faith. We believe there is something powerful about women gathering together. Our women's ministry conferences and events are designed to create an environment where women from different backgrounds and seasons of life can come together, build relationships, and leave feeling encouraged and renewed. ased in the Midwest, Renewed Ministry creates opportunities for women to gather locally while also welcoming women from surrounding communities and states to our conferences and events.
